Thomas Van Stein began his teaching career privately and through Santa Barbara City College in 1992 after achieving his Master’s degree from CSUN and post graduate work at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.  Trained as a professional Illustrator, and working as a fine artist/world adventurer gives Thomas depth which helps to explain techniques within context while in the classroom setting. Thomas’ multi-leveled, multi-layered approach to teaching is both lively, inspiring, and effective.
